The New Blogging Rules… have they gone too far?

So you may have seen that the CMA and ASA have just released new guidelines for ‘influencers’ (aka Bloggers, Instragrammers, Youtubers and Celebrities). Disclosure of paid advertising/promotions has always been required since the original guidelines were released, however, the new guidelines have increased the scope of an ‘Advert’.   In my opinion I have never been offended by advertising. I believe that for Bloggers etc advertising and working with brands is a form of their salary. I believe that if you want to be respected in the industry you work within (e.g. a Beauty Blogger) the Blogger should only promote products they truly love and would buy themselves. If you…

My 2019 and all it entails…

This year I have a lot to look forward to…travelling is planned and (touch wood) I will be graduating from university! Final year of uni is definitely stressful, not to mention the commute into uni and the part time work around that, but as I see it this is my last few months in education, and the most important, so I want to get the most out of it! Also, wanting a life outside of work and uni, I have goals I want to achieve with my blog, with my fitness and health and I need to save for my travelling. So this year I want to try to focus…

My 3 Most Worn Items This Autumn

This Autumn there have been three items that I have reached for on a regular basis: A white/cream knitted jumper (not surprising as this is something I love season after season), my teddy coat from H&M and chunky biker boots. The White Knitted Jumper I have always been a lover of knitwear, but this year it’s been all about the white/cream jumpers. This one is from H&M and it’s amazing. It is a Mohair blend and looks very similar to that Ganni jumper for a fraction of the price! Because it is a Mohair blend it keeps you so warm and is lovely and fluffy (although maybe not for those…

    IT’S ALL IN THE DETAIL

Some of my favourite outfits are the most basic. You can always trust the classics to be the base of a great outfit without all the fuss of deciding what to wear. The trick is in the details. Neck Gear At the moment I am always wearing a necklace or necklaces to be more specific. Layering delicate gold pieces instantly takes your outfit to another level. Suddenly, your basic jeans and Tee looks like an outfit you spent more than 10 seconds throwing on at 7am in the morning. LonaLuxe (queen of the chestfie) is a classic example of rather simple outfits made to look amazing with accessories. Ear Candy…

Don’t get me wrong, I’m a definite summer gal; give me sunshine all day everyday and I’m happy. But I must admit I love autumn winter fashion. Knitwear is my weakness. I love all the warm tones, chunky knits, dresses with boots and leather jackets! So as October is here and autumn is fully upon us, here are the five trends I’m loving for Autumn 2018 and the affordable ways to incorporate them into your wardrobe. 1.Burnt Orange/ Rust This is the colour of the season. Chloe has the most amazing collection this season and it incorporates much of this colour. The Chloe Tess bag is on the wish list…

    The First One

For long as I can remember I’ve always loved fashion, I remember collecting all my aunt’s old Vogue magazines and reading them for hours. When I was little I wanted to be a model; however, little did I know, I would reach the grand total of 5ft 2inchs (along with many other factors of why I probably wouldn’t be a catwalk model) Fashion is an expression of yourself; people use fashion as a visual tool to showcase an idea, view or feeling. Many designers will create a collection around something as complex as a political or ethical issue. Most recently many designers have based their collection around reduce reuse and…
